Liz Taylor si casatoriile sale

Liz Taylor si-a facut debutul fulminant la varsta de 12 ani si a devenit in scurt timp "actrita inimilor" la Hollywood. Sase ani mai tarziu, in anul 1950, s-a casatorit cu primul sot, Conrad Hilton Jr. Dupa doar 9 luni,  actrita l-a parasit pe mostenitorul vestitului lant hotelier.

Un an mai tarziu, in 1952, s-a casatorit cu actor britanic Michael Wilding. De aceasta data, Elizabeth Taylor  a spus "da la bine si la rau” pentru cinci ani. La doar o luna dupa divortul de cel de-al doilea sot, seducatoarea actrita si-a trecut in “palmares” o alta cununie in 1957. La bratul sau l-a avut pe producatorul de teatru si film Michael Todd, care a decedat un an mai tarziu intr-un accident de avion in New Mexico. Ironia sortii a facut ca avionul sa poarte numele de Liz cea norocoasa.

Urmatorul mariaj a starnit noi controverse. Liz a fost acuzata ca i-a furat sotul unei alte actrite, Debbie Reynolds. Casatorita doar pentru cateva luni cu Eddie Fisher, iubareata de la Hollywood a ramas in doar cateva luni singura din nou. In timpul acestui mariaj, actrita a primit primul sau premiu Oscar pentru rolul din filmul Butterfield 8. Pe atunci filma deja la filmul “Cleopatra” cand, grav bolnava de pneumonie, a trecut razant  pe langa moarte.

Una dintre cele mai frumoase povesti de dragoste de la Hollywood: Liz si Richard Burton

Pelicula "Cleopatra", cel mai scump film produs pana atunci la Hollywood, ii aducea lui Liz un onorariu de un milion de dolari. Pe langa aceste doua recorduri, filmul i-a prilejuit actritei intalnirea cu Richard Burton, altfel spus barbatul vietii sale. Scenele de dragoste dintre Liz Taylor, care o interpreta pe regina Nilului, si Burton, alias Marc Antoniu, l-au facut pe regizorul Joseph Mankiewicz  sa declare ca se simte prins "intr-o cusca cu doi lei".

Desi Burton era casatorit, acest impediment a fost inlaturat de actrita si in 1964 a debutat cu surle si trambite primul mariaj cu acesta. Burton, deloc un sot model, s-a dovedit a fi infidel si dependent de alcool. Nici bine nu s-a terminat luna de miere ca certurile au debutat. Pe de o parte era viata lor tumultoasa, de cealalta parte prestatiile apreciate din filme.

Cei doi au jucat in 12 pelicule impreuna, cea mai apreciata fiind "Cine se teme de Virginia Wolf?"

Burton obisnuia sa isi spela pacatele cu daruri opulente precum diamantele. In colectia ei de bijuterii erau si unele dintre cele mai pretioase bijuterii din lume precum diamantul Krupp, un diamant Cartier denumit apoi Taylor-Burton in valoare de un milion de dolari, brosa cu diamante a Ducesei de Windsor si diamantele Taj Mahal.

"Am iubit bijuteriile de cand ma stiu. Mama mi-a spus ca n-am deschis ochii opt zile dupa ce m-am nascut, dar cind i-am deschis, primul lucru la care m-am uitat a fost inelul ei de logodna. Eram vrajita", a declarat Liz Taylor in 2002.

Zece ani de pasiune si chin. Atat au pututu duce cei doi in primul mariaj care s-a incheiat in 1974. In ciuda neintelegerilor, Liz si Richard au adoptat o fetita pe nume Maria Carson in timpul primei casatorii. Nua u rezistat prea mult unul fara celalalt si in 1975, cuplul de aur al Hollywood-ului s-a reunit, insa tot pentru o scurta perioada de un an.

Dupa cel de-al doilea divort, cariera actritei a intrat intr-un con de umbra. Excesele din viata personala lasandu-si amprenta asupra siluetei actritei.

Totusi nu a renuntat la iubire si in 1976 s-a casatorit cu politicianul John Warner alaturi de care a stat pana in1982.

Ultimul ei mariaj, cu muncitorul in constructii Larry Fortensky, a durat cinci ani si s-a incheiat in 1996.

Elizabeth Taylor isi petrecea majoritatea timpului intr-un scaun cu rotile, dupa ce in ultimii 25 de ani a fost internata de mai mult de o suta de ori in spital, avand o interventie chirurgicala la sold si doua interventii foarte riscante la spate.

Totodata, ea a cazut de pe cal in timpul unor filmari, a suferit de pneumonie si cancer de piele, a fost supusa unei traheotomii, a fost dependenta de alcool si analgezice, a fost supusa mai multor interventii chirurgicale la plamani, creier, sold si inima.

In 1997 actrita a suferit un atac cerebral in urma unei operatii de extirpare a unei tumori pe creier si a fost chiar in moarte clinica.

Frumusetea anilor '40

 

În anii '40, Europa a intrat în umbra crudă a războiului, iar capitala modei şi a frumuseţii s-a mutat la New York. În Paris şi Londra, femeile erau într-o perioadă de austeritate deoarece trebuiau să susţină războiul. Îşi reciclau până şi hainele vechi însă îşi lăsau părul lung pentru a demonstra că feminitatea nu a murit, în pofida vicisitudinilor timpului.
Apa curentă nu mai era o raritate, iar astfel majoritatea populaţiei feminine avea acces la săli de baie. Igiena era foarte importantă, iar o femeie frumoasă era în primul rând curată şi sănătoasă. În această epocă s-a produs revoluţia şampoanelor. Săpunul, şamponul şi deodorantul erau principalele produse de înfrumuseţare în America.
În lipsa cremelor şi demachiantelor, femeile foloseau produse vegetale pentru îngrijirea tenului, iar la machiaj, ele s-au dovedit a fi foarte inventive. Foloseau praf de cărbuni pentru fard, câteodată chiar şi crema de ghete pentru gene, iar pentru pomeţi, petalele de trandafir în alcool ofereau un roz demn de Era Victoriana.
Cinematografia hollywoodiană sau fabrica de vise era mai strălucitoare ca niciodată. Industria filmului era încurajată pentru a ridica moralul trupelor şi populaţiei. Starurile feminine erau personaje puternice, iar filmele abordau teme precum războiul şi iubirea. Aceasta a fost perioada de glorie pentru actriţe precum Rita Hayworth , Lana Turner sau Marlene Dietrich.

Iubiri de legenda - Marlene Dietrich si Jean Gabin

Marile pasiuni continua sa alimenteze legende. Astazi iti povestim despre relatia de iubire dintre Marlene Dietrich si Jean Gabin.

Marlene Dietrich, actrita germana devenita vedeta hollywoodiana, l-a iubit cu pasiune pe Jean Gabin, frumosul cinematografiei frantuzesti, dinainte ca ea sa imbratiseze cariera de cantareata si el sa devina simbolul filmelor cu gangsteri. Cei doi chiar au locuit impreuna cativa ani. Marlene gatea pentru Jean sarmale, iar el o invata cuvinte din argou.

Relatia lor a inceput la Hollywood, in iulie 1941, la cabaretul "La Vie parisienne". In acea seara, Marlene era asezata langa Ernest Hemingway, "marea ei iubire platonica". Ea il recunoaste in sala pe Gabin, care ii fusese prezentat mai demult la Paris, si il invita la masa ei. El e timid, stanjenit, nu vorbeste engleza. Mai rau, nu il citise niciodata pe Hemingway! Si cu toate astea, din seara aceea, Marlene Dietrich ii devine ghid la Hollywood si profesor de engleza. Doua luni mai tarziu, il insoteste si in pat.

Garbo – rivala

Povestea lor nu se opreste la un simplu flirt. Jean se plictiseste la hotel si ii marturiseste iubitei sale ca ar dori "o casa cu gradina mare, plina cu copaci si flori frumoase". Marlene inchiriaza o vila la Brentwood, unde creeaza o mica Franta pentru amantul ei exilat. Vecina lor nu era nimeni alta decat Greta Garbo, "Divina", cea mai mare vedeta a anilor `30, rivala Marlenei. Garbo ii spiona pe cei doi cand acestia se aflau la piscina si nu ezita sa escaladeze pubelele pentru a avea un unghi de observatie mai bun.

Marlene Dietrich era intruchiparea femeii fatale din acele vremuri, expira erotism si glamour. Ea fusese descoperita in 1930, dupa ce jucase in "The Blue Angel", primul lungmetraj nemtesc cu sonor. Imediat dupa, Hollywood-ul a primit-o cu bratele deschise, alaturi de regizorul si amantul ei, Joseph von Sternberg. Sotul artistei, evreul Rudolf Sieber, inchide ochii la numeroasele ei aventuri (printre care John F. Kennedy si Garbo insasi). Insa la inceputul anilor `40, gloria ei este in declin. O noua generatie de actrite o depaseste in notorietate: americane sanatoase (Jane Russell) sau bombe erotice (Rita Hayworth).

Jean Gabin era intruchiparea proletarului un pic vulgar, chiar brutal uneori, dar integru. El era casatorit, insa nu mai locuia cu sotia sa, Jeanne Mauchain, fiind deschis aventurilor. In februarie 1941, el paraseste Europa pentru Statele Unite, fugand de razboiul care il impiedica sa faca filme. La Hollywood, el are o aventura cu actrita Leslie Caron inainte de a o cunoaste pe Marlene.



In ciuda eforturilor iubitei sale, lui Jean ii este in continuare dor de tara sa natala. El se inroleaza in Fortele Libere Franceze, iar Marlene accepta sa-l lase sa plece. In aprilie 1943, ea il insoteste la New York. Inainte de a se imbarca pe vaporul care il ducea in Europa, el ii ofera o bijuterie cu diamante. Cei doi nu stiu daca se vor mai vedea vreodata. Marlene ii scrie: "Posta e urmarita, nu uita sa vorbesti despre mine cu apelativul Marea"

"Ai fost un inger"

In timpul conflictului, Marlene ii refuza avansurile lui Goebbels, care vrea sa faca din ea vedeta cinematografiei naziste. Ea primeste nationalitatea americana si se angajeaza alaturi de trupele aliate. Misiunea sa: sa cante pentru a-i incuraja pe soldati. In mai 1945, Marlene il revede in sfarsit pe Jean la Berchtesgaden, in Germania, unde el lupta alaturi de generalul de Gaulle. Ea fuge spre el pe niste tocuri subtiri, prin noroi. El este jenat de situatie, insa o saruta. Soldatii din jurul lor ii aclama.

Dupa razboi, situatia era dificila. Industria cinematografica nu se mai interesa de cei doi actori. Ei mai filmeaza un singur film impreuna, in Franta: Martin Roumagnac. Fiecare dintre ei ramane fidel propriului mit: Marlene joaca o vampa, iar Jean un antreprenor mason. El e sincer, ea meschina, iar el o ucide din gelozie. Filmul este un esec.

Jean refuza sa o urmeze pe Marlene in SUA. La 43 ani, el vroia copii, in timp ce actrita, la 46 ani, era deja bunica. Gabin o paraseste in 1947 si se casatoreste cu tanara Colette Mars.

"Ai fost o perioada frumoasa din viata mea, ai fost un inger si iti multumesc, insa din pacate lucrurile frumoase se termina si cred ca ar fi mai bine sa nu ne mai vedem", il scrie el.

Chiar daca Jean Gabin se desparte brutal de ea, Marlene scrie in memoriile ei, 30 ani mai tarziu: "Gabin era Barbatul, super – Barbatul, barbatul vietii mele. El era idealul cautat de toate femeile."

Cele două dive au negat întotdeauna că se cunosc. Cu toate acestea, există dovezi că, în 1925, în perioada lor pre-Hollywood, au fost implicate într-o scandaloasă poveste de dragoste care aproape a distrus-o pe vulnerabila Garbo.

Chiar şi într-un loc precum Hollywood-ul, care musteşte de secrete murdare, relaţia dintre Marlene Dietrich şi Greta Garbo a fost întotdeauna un subiect de bîrfă fascinant. Cum era posibil ca aceste două femei, amîndouă provenind din Europa, foarte apropiate ca vîrstă şi avînd aceeaşi aură de vampă să fie – aşa cum au susţinut mereu – complet străine una faţă de alta? Garbo a ajuns la Hollywood în 1925, la vîrsta de 20 de ani. Dietrich a părăsit Germa­nia, cu aceeaşi destinaţie, cinci ani mai tîrziu, pe transatlan­ticul SS Bremen, la bordul căruia a încercat să o seducă, fără succes, pe soţia unui costumier de teatru new-yorkez. Rivalitatea dintre nem­ţoaică şi suedeză era anticipată, cu toate că publicul ştia foarte puţine despre trecutul acestora.

Oficial, divele s-au întîlnit o singură dată, 15 ani mai tîrziu, cînd Orson Welles le-a făcut cunoştinţă la o petrecere. Întîlnirea nu a avut mare succes. Marlene, expertă în arta de a flata, i-a spus Gretei că e o zeiţă. Garbo, a cărei regulă era să nu întoarcă niciodată un compli­ment, a murmurat un “mulţu­mesc” şi s-a pierdut în mulţime. Cariera sa era oricum pe sfîrşite, aşa că nu-şi dorea decît să fie lăsată în pace, în special de către Dietrich. În maşină, cînd se întor­ceau la Welles acasă, Marlene ar fi făcut remarca următoare: “Nu are lăboaie aşa de mari pe cît se spune”. Dar asta a fost, de-adevă­ratelea, toată povestea? Autoarea britanică Diana McLellan susţine că, în sfîrşit, ar fi descoperit secre­tul celor două. Dietrich şi Garbo nu numai că se cunoşteau, dar au fost iubite cu 20 de ani înainte ca Welles “să le facă cunoştinţă”.

S-a întîmplat, după spusele lui McLellan, în timp ce jucau într-un obscur film mut nemţesc, “Die freudlose Gasse”, chiar dacă Dietrich a negat pînă la moartea ei, în 1992, că ar fi avut de-a face cu acesta. În timpul lucrului, Marlene, o boemă mămică de 23 de ani, renumită pentru apetitul său de a seduce femei frumoase - în special în culise – a cucerit-o pe sensibila suedeză de 19 ani, needucată şi confuză sexual. Legătura lor s-a sfîrşit cu o trădare atît de brutală încît Garbo a refuzat să mai audă de Dietrich pentru restul vieţii – chiar dacă cele două au avut, simultan, aceiaşi amanţi, printre care scriitoarea Mercedes de Acosta sau Erich Maria Remarque. Iar în deznodămîntul relaţiei, dezvăluit de “malefica” Dietrich prietenilor comuni, se poate găsi şi explicaţia obsesiei patologice pentru intimitate a lui Garbo.

La célèbre "Subway Dress" portée par l'actrice américaine, Marilyn Monroe, dans le film Sept Ans de Réflexion, a été vendue aux enchères le 18 juin dernier.

La vente aux enchères, organisée à Beverly Hills par Debbie Reynolds, une grande collectionneuse de costumes, a émoustillé de nombreux fans.

Signée du costumier américain William Travilla, la sublime robe blanche de Marilyn Monroe, a été vendue 5,6 millions de dollars (4 millions d'euros) alors qu'elle était estimée entre un et deux millions de dollars.

Ceci n'est pas étonnant puisque la jolie robe plissée portée par Marilyn Monroe, fait référence à une scène mythique du cinéma hollywoodien... Qui n'a jamais vu la scène où, en passant sur une bouche d'aération, la robe de la belle se soulève ?

Des accessoires et vêtements phares de la star ont également été mis aux enchères, notamment la robe rouge à sequins et le chapeau qu'elle portait dans Les hommes préfèrent les blondes, achetés 1,47 million de dollars (1 million d'euros).

Confesiunile facute de Marilyn Monroe pe canapeaua unui psihiatru ies la lumina dupa 43 de ani de la moartea actritei si arata care era starea acesteia cu cateva luni inainte de a se sinucide, scrie cotidianul "The Independent". Ziarul "Los Angeles Times" a publicat fragmente din materialele tiparite dupa casetele inregistrate de dr. Ralph Greenson, psihiatrul actritei, cel care a initiat-o pe aceasta in aplicarea tehnicii "liberei asocieri". Monologurile publicate contin descrieri ale barbatilor din viata actritei, trecandu-i in revista pe toti, de la fosti soti la membrii familiei Kennedy. Sunt amintite, rand pe rand, ambitia ei de a juca in roluri serioase, conflictul cu studioul, senzatia ca frumusetea ei incepea sa paleasca. Toate aceste destainuiri au iz de indiscretie, exceptie facand partea care se refera la John F. Kennedy, presedinte al Statelor Unite ale Americii: "Marilyn Monroe este un soldat. Comandantul ei este cel mai maret si mai puternic om din lume. Prima indatorire a unui soldat este aceea de a se supune comandantului sau", declara actrita in materialul respectiv. Nu se face nici o aluzie in aceste confesiuni despre o posibila relatie amoroasa intre Monroe si presedintele SUA, nu reiese decat o mare admiratie.

Confesiuni fierbinti

Fratele mai mic al presedintelui nu a impresionat-o prea mult: "Ce sa fac in legatura cu Bobby? Dupa cum se stie, nu exista prea mult loc in viata mea pentru el. Vreau ca altcineva sa ii spuna ca s-a terminat intre noi. Am incercat sa il rog pe presedinte sa o faca, dar nu am reusit sa ajung la el", marturisea Marilyn.

Materialul contine de asemenea unele confesiuni fierbinti despre o aventura de o noapte, alaturi de actrita Joan Crawford. Marilyn Monroe vorbeste deschis despre mariajele ei esuate, sustinand cu insistenta ca inca il mai iubeste pe primul ei sot, Joe DiMaggio: "Joe n-a putut ramane casatorit cu un star de cinema. El are in capul sau incapatanat de italian imaginea traditionala a sotiei italiene".

Cu dramaturgul Arthur Miller a fost altfel: "Faptul ca m-am casatorit cu el a fost greseala mea, nu a lui", mai spune actrita. Pe aceste casete, actrita (despre care se spune ca a murit in urma unei supradoze de tranchilizante) nu pare deloc deprimata, scrie cotidianul citat. Ea vorbeste despre planurile pe care le avea de a-si revigora cariera printr-o aparitie intr-o productie shakespeariana: "Am citit toate piesele lui Shakespeare si am repetat mult... Am sa incep cu Juliet. Nu rade". Alta latura a acestor confesiuni este aceea in care actrita declara ca nu a avut orgasm decat dupa interventia terapiei, cu ajutorul careia si-a dat seama ca totul se afla in puterea mintii.

"Nu cred ca s-a sinucis"

De asemenea, fostul procuror John W. Miner (care la vremea cand Marilyn a murit era seful departamentului de Medicina legala al Procuraturii) a ascultat inca de atunci aceste casete si a tras cateva concluzii: din ceea ce afirma, Marilyn planuia sa ajunga cea mai bine platita actrita de la Hollywood (astfel incat sa-si poata permite orice), si ca, pentru a juca intr-o piesa de Shakespeare il va angaja chiar si pe Laurence Olivier, (caruia voia sa-i plateasca oricat ia-r fi cerut). Fostul procuror sustine ca "oricine asculta aceste casete isi va da seama ca Marilyn Monroe nu s-a sinucis. Avea prea multe planuri de viitor, prea multe motive sa traiasca, si mai ales, pentru ca, in final, descoperise cu ajutorul psihiatrului sau, satisfactia fizica pe care nu o cunoscuse niciodata. Sunt sigur ca aceste casete au fost distruse de dr. Greenson, care a murit acum cativa ani. Astfel, eu sunt singura persoana in viata care am auzit aceste confesiuni. Sunt convins de faptul ca Marilyn nu s-a sinucis si imi doresc de multa vreme sa am aporbarea autoritatilor pentru o noua autopsie a cadavrului, care, aflandu-se intr-o cripta destul de bine izolata, s-ar fi putut conserva suficient de bine pentru a mai furzina dovezi concludente. I-am promis de atunci doctorului Greenson ca voi pastra confidentialitatea continutului acestor casete, desi am suportat presiuni enorme din partea mass-media. As fi pastrat secretul in continuare, daca nu ar fi aparut acele voci care insinuau ca dr. Greenson este vinovat de moartea lui Marilyn. Am intrebat-o pe vaduva doctorului daca ma elibereaza de promisiune, iar ea a fost de acord sa fac tot ce este omeneste posibil sa apar si sa reabilitez numele sotului ei" a marturisit John W. Miner.

Despre Marilyn Monroe, stim bine ca a fost mai mult decat figura iconica a actritei voluptoase in viata careia s-au perindat numerosi barbati importanti. Dar ca Marilyn Monroe scria poezii, eseuri si note despre literatura, mai putin ne-am fi asteptat.

Jurnalele, poeziile si eseurile scrise de actrita americana vor fi publicate in aceasta toamna, in Statele Unite ale Americii. Editura Farrar, Staus & Giroux a anuntat ca va include textele scrise de Marilyn Monroe in volumul intitulat ‘Fragments’.

Editorul Courtney Hodell spune ca volumul va cuprinde poezii, fotografii si reflectii ale regretatei dive hollywoodiene despre relatia cu unul dintre fostii ei soti, scriitorul Arthur Miller, dar si despre relatiile pe care le-a avut cu alti barbati din viata ei. ‘Cartea va arata ca a fost o persoana profunda cu o adevarata viata interioara. A fost o cititoare ferventa si avea un real fler scriitoricesc.’

Marilyn Monroe a murit in august 1962, la varsta de 36 de ani, din cauza unei supradoze de droguri si medicamente.
